The SNE buyout rumors hit last week, the rumor came from jagnotes.com and was bounced through the daytrading channels most the day. The TLC came in yesterday, actualy got a link for that one. fgnonline.com And the Mattel stuff more rumor, but I heard TLC is a division of Mattel. + Dan Dorfman mentioned someone is looking at AKLM. + They just brought in the new CFO and the press release stated "His duties will encompass all internal financial functions as well as Acclaim's stepped up activities in the mergers and acquisitions arena" biz.yahoo.com Chat rooms are all the buzz too. Lots of straws but almost enough to built something from. Anyway you look at it there is a chance something is going on, theres just to many different sources with the same theme. But that is not why AKLM is my 2nd largest holding. I have been long AKLM since Mar. AKLM has a solid lineup, and is a great holiday play. I see $15 by Jan on its own merits. Throw a buyout in there and were $17-20. Then again if you look at the charts, AKLM typically makes good moves ~20% before earnings, which is now 13 days away and counting. I think its a combination of both earnings and possible buyout.
