Carl, the EBNews article makes it sound that simply limiting Rambus to two slots doesn't solve the problem. This part:

if there is any truth to it sounds pretty drastic. If it were just a 2/3 slot issue I expect that the show would already be back on the road with the "Discontinuity module" jammed into the 3rd slot and John Petzinger would already be collecting from the Intel employee suggestion program.
