Actually, the "call" I think you're referring to is my thinking (in agreement with Stew) that a major settlement announcement in favor of Gemstar will be equal in importance to the Ericsson settlement for Qualcomm. A settlement announcement is highly rumored which explains in my mind the current run-up in Gemstar's stock. But there has been no announcement.

You are absolutely correct that I "called" Gemstar's place in the bowling alley. I think the evidence is difficult to refute.

If you're thinking of something else I wrote, run it by me and I'll do my best to continue confusing everyone. :)

and those of us who know him appreciate how coldly analytical he is in such proclamations.
