We are in agreement then. MSFT has a good value proposition if you are concerned about the cost, as evidenced by it holding all top ten spots on the price/performance chart. However, if you need more performance, it should be avoided, as evidenced by it not being in any of the top ten slots for the pure performance chart. Oracle will allow you to run on cheap PC hardware today, and scale up to a bigger machine if needed later.
