I think they gain anyway. G4 is out and buyers are waiting in line to upgrade at top dollar. The G3s eat PIIIs for breakfast. Even w/Virtual PC a G3 is incomparably better. I have noticed that Costco is now "dumping" IBMs, Compaqs, etc. for less than G3s and folks are still taking the G3s and Imacs. I wonder what the actual nationwide #s reflect?
