I'd like to wait a bit longer to see if Jeff gives us any indication about the current status of SI's rules (see post #106 on this thread), and to see if any more comments or suggestions come in. I think a concise summary of our findings posted for review and comment is the next step. After that's been accepted, we can toss around some ideas on how best to promote what we've come up with. Some good ideas have already surfaced on this thread. An intermediate step between a summary and promotion might be to discuss some "live" examples first. I've noticed some classic examples of some type I posters. And I've seen some examples of effective responses too. Perhaps we could develop a KOOK award (or some other name, if "KooK" is objectionable) for those posting the best responses to problem posts, as opposed to highlighting problem posts. In other words, emphasize the positive rather than the negative. I'm not sure what would be best in that regard. Anyway, I agree that a summary is in order sometime soon.
