the best of the systems when working fine have a tendency to lag the market 10-15 seconds with their "real time" quotes (all of them)

I have long suspected this to be true but you are the first I have heard speak this in a seemingly informed manner. I had lost a great deal of money before I was able to adjust my style to fit that reality. I kept thinking it was because I was too slow, but finally I realized that I would sometimes get executions "into the future" by about 10 seconds. The worst part is that the delay varies randomly.

Most traders I tell about this don't believe me.

Obviously *someone* is not behind the market. Is it only the market makers? Are the non-internet feeds better?
