i started writing this a few days ago and inadvertantly erased it...here goes again.

i would like to present a new company for consideration.
cree

a good friend had me read the following post and some other info regarding cree. he is 37,000s long and adding. he is not a trader. he still has the microsoft shares he bought at the ipo.

messages.yahoo.com

cree has a patented crystal growth process that provides the highest quality silicon carbide known.(gem quality)
cree recently tripled production. their entire present production is sold out for the next year. they are in the process of expanding again with a huge addition scheduled for completion this year. this should provide another tripling. they are also working on improving yields. dramatic improvements here are anticipated. ceo has been quoted as stating 4x yield improvements are a reasonable target. recently cree has increased wafer growth from 2" to 3"...current govt funded research is to increase to 4".

cree is profitable, debt free, and funding the expansion
in-house. this year, they have announced research contracts with the navy, $9.3m; usaf $ 4m; and other us govt, $6.8m. i believe the govt is funding up to 85% of cree's current research costs.

a few words from nasa...
lerc.nasa.gov

if you research cree, you will come across siemens...not to worry...siemans gets their product from cree.

more info here...
cree.com

analysts rate 5 strong buys and 2 buys.

29.3m shares
22.2m float
17.75m institutions. up 2.25m in last 90 days.

current down draft is short instigated imo. short position increased 0.9m to a total 3.2m last month.

cree is a 5 bagger so far this year.
i am long.

whoops!....almost forgot the kickers...
#1)cree is believed to be the furthest along in blue laser development...no one has demonstrated a commercially viable blue laser yet...but i have seen estimates that this has a market potential of $100 billion.
#2)cree's products have the potential to replace the incandescent light bulb...let that sink in.

now that i have looked at all of this again, i think i'll be longer tomorrow. i did add some more gmst on friday.
comments please!
