I worked for Intel right out of college from 1974 thru mid 1984, mostly in Technology Development and Package Development. Four of these years were up in Oregon during the FAB 5 start up when TD was established up there for the first time. The remaining time was in Santa Clara.

I spent about 6 years as Reliability Manager at Altera, which included establishing the Reliability Engineering department, working on programmable logic and EPROM/EEPROM and SRAM Reliability. Bruce Euzent, another ex-Intel engineer, was hired to replace me after I retired.

I try to keep close tabs on the semiconductor industry, especially as it concerns Intel and Altera.
