<About how long did that "short" <g> cycle take you? >
Eric, it takes me about 3 hours at going an average speed of 25 km /hr ( 15 miles / hour ). I usually reach a maximum speed coming down the ski hill of 75 km/hr ( 50 m/h ) and a low of 11 km/h climbing the hills.

<Holy Moly!>

7000 miles on a bike is not alot; several old farts ( I am looking forward to be one several years from now )do between 10,000 to 15,000 miles per year. They want to join the join the 200,000 km club ( or 125,000 miles )

I will have to quit my job to join them. The oldest member is 83. It is not unusual for us to do over 100 miles in a day at an average speed of 20 miles per hour.

<<Speaking of Canada, there is one particular University there, where Bill Gates does an exceptional amount of recruiting. I can not recall the name of the school. Can you help me out on that one?>>

It is definitely University of Waterloo in Ontario; Bill Gates and company have taken hundreds of grads from UWaterloo during the last 20 years. It has a fantastic reputation for being an innovator of the co-op system ( more than 30 years ); some of the best hardware and software engineers graduate from UWaterloo every year.
