Jock, Ed....if Dell finishes the end of the year at 50+...thus, a 30%+ gain for the calender year....does that make it a "trading stock" ? or just a stock that no longer appreciates at 150/200% a year, but, nonetheless, a solid grower, and one should hold long-term (regardless)..

Ed, re: 15-18% return....if Dell "only" does this over the next 2-3 years...you will see a dramatic compression of P/E....which given its (twice that-plus) growth rate....it would be highly unlikely, IMO...if it would occur...given Dell's growth rate....Dell would become a screaming buy in short order (and bounce back up)...

OR, are you saying that Dell is (only) going to grow earnings at a 15-18% rate/20% rate over the next couple of years...??
