Haim, the Austrians are fascists at heart - but it would be a bit much to compare the Freedom party to the Nazis imo. the main cause for it's success has less to do with it's right wing politics, but more with people's disenchantment with the ruling Socialists/People's Party coalition. if you think politicians are feeding at the public trough in the U.S., you should see this country: it's so bad here, it defies belief. not that voting in the Freedom Party will change that.
but it has to be said that the Freedom Party is a lot less extreme than Le Pen's Front National in France. i didn't vote at all, for lack of attractive alternatives.
