AirStar(TM) deployments has increased to 31 locations worldwide. These systems are installed in Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East
and the U.S. Of these deployments, seven(7) carry customer traffic,
eighteen(18) are in trials and six(6) others represent showcase or demo installations sponsored by Netro's distributors Lucent or
Siemens/Italtel.

Netro has continued to gain market presence in the global broadband
wireless access market by adding AirStar installations in Ireland,
Belgium, Greece, Holland, Lebanon, Germany, Argentina and the United
States.

Broadnet, a Comcast affiliate, has identified the AirStar product, sold
by Lucent as the OnDemand Broadband Wireless Access Solution, as its
preferred technology for its pan-European network. Broadnet was awarded
42 licenses by Germany's regulator in early September.

Ocean, the telecommunications company owned by British Telecom and the
Irish Electricity Company, has announced successful testing of Netro's
broadband wireless system, purchased through Lucent Technologies, to
deliver high-speed Internet access. Ocean, an applicant for one of four
broadband licenses in the 26 GHz frequency band in Ireland, have
indicated their intention to deploy the AirStar product, sold by Lucent
as the OnDemand Broadband Wireless Access Solution. Ocean plans to
build a broadband wireless access network to reach the small and
medium-sized businesses in Ireland and bypass the wireline network of
the incumbent service provider, Eircom.

"Netro's vision is to provide competitive service providers with a
platform that enables them to quickly and cost-effectively enter the
market with broadband services for the small and mid-sized
enterprises," said Gideon Ben-Efraim, President and Chief Executive
Officer of Netro Corporation. "Working with companies like Broadnet and
BT Ocean and leveraging the resources of our strategic partnerships, we
are able to strengthen our position in the broadband wireless market.
Broadband wireless access is a worldwide market that is now opening
globally and moving into a phase of mass deployments. Our goal is to
eliminate the last mile bottleneck and to be one of the key
technological forces helping to usher in the Internet/e-commerce era
globally."

About AirStar Netro's AirStar family of products transmits voice, IP
and Frame Relay services to small and mid-sized businesses and supports
licensed frequencies at 10, 26 and 39 GHz. Netro's patented CellMAC, or
media access control layer, coupled with the product's Time Division
Multiple Access (TDMA) and Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) foundation,
enables service providers to affordably meet the needs of the SME
market by dynamically delivering packetized voice and data traffic.
