Shalom,
I am glad you are willing to continue a dialog, and apologize again for jumping the gun. You see, we can learn from each other; it is not a question of "converting".
Now, your first quote is from a passage immediately preceding the parable of the fig tree, is it not? I did research this after we last discussed it, and my memory was indeed refreshed. Jesus was not talking about the distant future. He was talking about the current generation, and he was speaking in the context of the prevailing beliefs about the messiah. Of course, what "he" said is really what someone else said he said. In any event, he was reflecting the common hope for a savior of the Jews of that day. Did what he was purported to have said come to pass? It did not.
Now you may try to explain away the words "this generation".
