Chuck,

Finally, Compaq updated it's Presario product page. Now it shows Athlon models from 500MHZ all the way up to 700MHz (until a few days ago, this page showed just Athlon600MHz model!) athome.compaq.com
It seems, this time Athlon 700MHz systems will be available on the same day the product is announced by AMD.

This Sunday, I've noticed two K6-2, 500MHz desk-top systems advertised by our bay area retailers, one from IBM and the other from NEC! All K6-2 desk-tops advertised were K6-2 450MHZ or higher. There were several K6-2 notebooks for sale. All of them were K6-2 366/380MHZ type. It seems AMD stuffed the channel with many higher speed grade K6-2's in the last few weeks of Q3.
