Cabletron to Deliver Solutions Messaging At Data Communications Magazine's 'Switched LAN Shootout VII: Europe'
Cabletron's Trent Waterhouse to Present the Company's Advanced Voice and Data Solutions in Paris, London and Munich
ROCHESTER, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 1999-- Cabletron Systems (NYSE:CS - news) today announced that it will participate in Data Communications magazine's ''Switched LAN Shootout VII: Europe'' real-world seminar series.
This unique, one-day program provides customers and channel partners with the tools and knowledge necessary to produce the most effective convergence and switched IP network strategy to align their IT infrastructures with their e-business requirements.

The events will take place the week of October 4-8 (see accompanying table below for cities and dates), where representatives from 3Com, Cabletron, Cisco and Lucent will speak directly to end users in a debate format. The audience will also receive two one-hour tutorials from Robert Mandeville, the world's principal expert on switching, director of European Network Laboratories, author of RFC 2285 - the IETF official specification for switch testing - and a contributing editor to Data Communications magazine.
