>>William, I went long when Glenn did.
I then changed my mind when comparable sales declined,<<
Dr TomD, I went long not long ago, but not in my IRA when I realized that Xmas was coming, and the chances of the institutions leaving between now and then were slim.
I think institutional ownership issue is discounted around here.
I give William full credit, even though I kid him about his core holdings. Most of his investments are in stocks that the institutions have loved to buy and hold.
Do you remember my posts over the last couple of years talking about the elephants (institutions)?
Looking back the thing that has surprised me more about Amzn than anything else is how the institutions have held their ground.
Twice now I've expected Amzn to break down, but when it got to that 80 range. Bang!! The elephants jump back on. While actually the core institutions never left?
It will be interesting to see what the elephants do next year, and if the greatest bull market in history can continue?
I used to have a friend in Seattle who worked for a large trust up there. He could tell me what and who the elephants were doing on every trade. He moved to Florida. I don't get that info any longer. I miss him, and so does my wallet.;-(
Trust me on that.
Ps
Amzn is at 77 that's 154. Can it get to 221 before Xmas?
"Xmas is coming the pig is getting fat, please put a penny in this old mans hat. If you haven't got a penny, then a half-penny will do? If you haven't got half a penny?:-( Then God bless you.":-)
