Raining again, here. It was nice and sunny for a while, though.
We're still settling in. Boxes everywhere. Trying to figure out where to put things. The kitchen is all weird, it has a lot of cabinet space, but the upper cabinets are shallow, and the lower cabinets are cavernous. And the layout isn't very efficient. I just can't decide how to put my stuff in it. It's irritating.
I was able to get enough stuff put away to set up a round table in the "eat-in" area of the kitchen, and this morning I sat at the table with the curtains open, reading the paper and drinking coffee. All I could see was trees. There are several maples, which are just beginning to turn red. It's a nice view. I wish I had the view from my bedroom, too, rather than my bathroom. There's a bathroom with a shower, a vanity with a lavatory outside the bathroom, and a huge walk-in closet, at the west end of the bedroom, and on my wishlist, I'd like to convert the space to accommodate a hot tub, and put big windows, maybe French doors leading to a deck, which has yet to be built, as well.
Oh, I probably won't. It won't be long before we have to pay for college. |
