Another interesting note on Fleckenstein relevant to this thread. Gates invests some of his personal money with Fleckenstein which is interesting because Fleckenstein is short many tech stocks (including, possibly, MSFT). Of course, this is a small hedge for Gates but it's ironic.

Fleckenstien has been wrong for YEARS, and unless we get a Japan-like bear market he has missed the greatest bull market in our history. He gets dragged out every time the market goes down or sideways, but that doesn't mean that he has made anyone any money. I read his stuff occasionally, and I can only guess that he is too stubborn to admit that he is wrong.
