Looks like Intel has figured AMD would sit pat on the Athlon core...
You don't suppose they hired Yousef to tell them what AMDs next move would be do you? <G>
Per Scumbria...the Athlon core is very tweakable and VERY scalable and per my sources (and Anand) yields very well.
