Any comments on RACE?
I very rarely post because I?m an amateur and do not feel that I have much to offer. Just thought that this company had a very interesting product. Has anyone heard of this technology and/or does anyone know anything about this technology/company. Most of my capital is rapped up in CS but I?m always looking. Jeremy
SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- DATA RACE© (Nasdaq: RACE - news) today announced the formation of OnePhoneLine.net, a new Internet Service Provider (``ISP'). Subscribers will be able to get their home phone calls, make phone calls, and send and receive faxes while they are on-line, without needing a second phone line. Based on the DATA RACE Be There!© product line, the service is available to beta customers in the San Antonio area starting today. Following successful completion of the San Antonio trial, OnePhoneLine.net intends to roll out national service starting in the new year. OnePhoneLine.net service will be priced at $19.95 per month.
``We are very excited about this revolutionary new offering,' said DATA RACE president and CEO Dr. W. B. Barker. ``Ever since people have been dialing into the Internet, there have been conflicts for the use of the phone line. With OnePhoneLine.net, we have solved that problem. If someone calls while you're on-line, the phone just rings, and you -- or someone else in the household -- can talk on the phone while you continue your work online. Even households with two phone lines often find that both are in use when someone wants to make a call. As a result, our market research shows that over 90% of respondents are interested in a service that would allow the use of their phone while they are on-line.'
``DATA RACE's Be There! is the only product in the market that can address this need, providing high-quality telephone conversation simultaneously with data transfers, over a single dial-up line. We are optimistic that we can capture a share of the ISP market with this unique offering.'
Internet users interested in participating in the trial should contact OnePhoneLine.net at onephoneline.net, 210-263-2400, or info@onephoneline.net. |
