Yep, Anand is a bright kid, no doubt. Then again, I knew this one East Indian guy down the street from where I lived back in high school. He was only 17 when he made $10K investing in stocks. Perhaps he got lucky, but he was intelligent enough to get into MIT.

Come to think of it, the people I knew back then pretty much covered the entire spectrum. From the super-geniuses to the punks, from Yale to jail, it was really interesting to see.

I guess thanks to the Internet, kid geniuses like Anand will be given much more exposure than they had in the past. Unfortunately, kid punks will also be given a lot more exposure, too, such as those who frequent Chat forums and do nothing but shoot their foul mouths off, South Park style.
