Hi Don Green; There really is no reason for Samsung to put out a press release, assuming that the story is true, and that they have halted RDRAM production. Putting out a press release would be a direct slap in the face to Rambus. All they really needed to do was to put out an announcement that Samsung was going to have a few more SDRAMs available, and that is what they did. If the news were false, then they would have a reason for putting out a press release announcing that they are still producing RDRAMs. So far, no such press release. The drop in RDRAM prices to below SDRAM prices was probably when they started thinking about switching over. It would surprise me greatly for INTC to let the microprocessor meeting go on without a schedule announcement. (Unless they really are in deep doo-doo.) -- Carl
