Company Press Release

P-Com CRC Receives Orders in Excess of $1.0M from
Major Value Added Network Provider

CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 1999--P-Com, Inc. (Nasdaq:PCMS - news) announced that its subsidiary,
Control Resources Corporation, has received orders worth in excess of $1.0M for NetPath 64 and NetPath 64+ Service Delivery
Units (SDUs) from a major provider of value added network services.

This order, when fulfilled will bring the total number of NetPath units delivered to them to 13,000.

The customer, a provider of national and international network services, provisions NetPath to deliver high quality managed data
services. In addition, they offer ISDN backup for their services using the integral ISDN backup capability in the NetPath SDUs.

``We think it is significant that our customer has taken such a unique approach to differentiating themselves in the market,' remarked
Bruce O'Pray, CEO of CRC. ``We believe that many competitive providers will follow this avenue of bundling intelligent endpoints in
with core services as a way of providing value to end-users.'

For network service providers, the capabilities provided by NetPath extend the core of their network to a customer's premises,
enhancing the quality of Frame Relay service for both basic and enhanced customers, while minimizing the costs of delivery.

NetPath SDUs combine a CSU/DSU with advanced Frame Relay service delivery and monitoring functionality, allowing Service
Providers to rapidly turn up, deliver, and maintain high quality Frame Relay service. NetPath SDUs terminate and monitor the local
access loop, the local Frame Relay switch, and each Permanent Virtual Circuit. Characteristics such as end-to-end delay, lost frames,
and service availability are all measured continuously on a PVC-by-PVC basis.

NetPath also incorporates an integral modem and full SNMP & TELNET agents to support proactive in-band as well as dial-in and
dial-out management.

NetPath also incorporates an ISDN Backup/Bandwidth-on-Demand Option that provides disaster recovery and additional
bandwidth for sites that need it. In addition to BONDING Mode 1 for inverse multiplexing of the B channels, CRC announced that
NetPath now supports Multi-Link PPP. This is available as a software upgrade to existing units. This makes it easier for customers to
take advantage of remote dial-up into central site routers, around the frame relay network.

Control Resources Corporation (``CRC') is a business unit of P-Com, Inc. that has been in business since 1977 and provides
customized solutions to information and network service providers globally. NetPath customers include Inter-Exchange Carriers and
Value-Added Network suppliers on a global basis.
