In algebra I missed a day and was told by the teacher I'd have to memorize the whole sign co sign table. Now that was impossible and the class got to use the table. I blew the course off and got a D. I can still remember my mother shaking her head and smacking mine with a ping pong paddle while calling me a D student. Then my dad would get drunk and take his belt to me. I remember crawling under the kitchen table being beaten with the belt. Schmuck, Hell I'd have died to be called Schmuck. Later I passed many opportunities so I could work in my dad's store. I got that shit about the yellow haired kid living off his old man crap. I hated that store and being inside. I did it for my father but caught worlds of crap for doing it. We have a different point of view here.
