Not since the days of oil barons and rail tycoons has Washington been so thoroughly in the thrall of a group of corporate executives. The Larry Ellisons, Michael Dells, and Bill Gateses of the world have an open door to any lawmaker, anytime, which can't be said for the leaders of older, less happenin' industries.
