Cheap advertising?

The IBM demo I was checking out also had the AMD 750 chipset.

But, looking at this,

I would guess the Athlon CPUs selling now are being sold cheaper than the rebate CPUs (now including the rebate) which were sold earlier to OEMs.

An example, a cpu Athlon (550)sold in August for $500 plus the rebate=$400 for AMD. They sell that same cpu today for $306.

What's the delay between AMD and Best Buy? 30-60 days? I don't know.

Clear as mud. I almost lost myself.
