gee, i guess this whole FREE OS thingy has NO implications for sun.com. jeesh, talk about a biased analysis. It's a biased trend. It has wonderful implications for Sun; for robust and scalable Sparc and for robust and scalable Solaris. As it happens, that FREE OS thingy runs best on UltraSparc and is a great natural stepping stone to the commercial (and more industrial) Solaris. It's a windfall for SUNW. It's a second front on the commodity desktop and low to mid-range server side(allowing Sun to concentrate on the high end --nyuk nyuk). The trend is our friend. -JCJ
