IPO schedule:

New stocks to trade this week will be numerous as there are presently 26 issues expected to begin trading. An outline of the ones worth watching from the top down...

Calico Commerce (CLIC): B2B software. This one competes with Broadvision (BVSN) and may trade like Ariba (ARBA). 1998 revenues of $21.4 million, 81% sales growth. Customers include DELL and Gateway (GTW), partnerships with IBM and Siknet Software (SILK). Very hot.

jupitper Communications (JPTR): Provides clients with continuous data concerning the web. Works with 500 large companies including IBM and AOL. Gartner Group (IT) owns 22% of the company. Should do well.

Webvan (WBVN): Provides retail Internet sales while maintaining centrally located company-based warehouses. The business model has been working thus far. A better Peapod (PPOD). Lots of buzz on this one. Goldman Sachs working the deal.

Interwoven (IWOV): Software to manage web content. Competes with Agile Software (AGIL), a recent hot IPO. Also competes with NetObjects (NETO) and Vignette (VIGN). 13% of sales are to Cisco systems.

PlanetRX.com (PLRX): Another Goldman Sachs special. Not as big as competitor Drugstore.com (DSCM) but should do well.

Breakaway Solutions (BWAY): Provides Internet business and customer relationship services, including market and business process analysis, e-commerce software development, and business software hosting. Basically another business-to-business play. Looks good.

E-stamp (ESTM): Competitor to Stamps.com (STMP). Partially owned by Microsoft (MSFT). Authorized to sell US Postage stamps to individuals and small businesses on the web.

Silicon Image (SIGM): Semiconductor technology used to improve high-speed data and digital video. Customers include Compaq and Toshiba, sounds good to me.

Homeservices.com (HMSV): One of the country's largest real estate brokerage firms now moving online. Secondary plays; Homestore (HOMS), Homeseekers.com (HMSK), Bamboo.com (BAMB).

Honorable mentions: VitaminShoppe.com (VSHP), DSL Net (DSLN), Smartdisk (SMDK), Altigen Communications (ATGN).

Should be an interesting week to say the least....
