I give my opinion about the Sun Ray, which is quite valid, and all of a sudden I am promoting my product???

If MSFT released a beta of thier office suite and someone posted it on the thread, would you take the same position?

I don't see where you can refute where I stand on the Sun Ray. It is not anything extraordinary (most of what it does can be done with software alone for much less), and is still released at too high a price point. $700 is $200 (or more than 25%) more than a fairly quick, fully equipped PC, which easily serves as an Internet device and whose prices are still falling rapidly as I type this. The TCO reduction has never been proved so it is not worth the risk to invest in the Sun Ray without a significant reduction in upfront expense as compared to a PC. Then there is the matter of simpler PCs which can take the rug from under the entire Sun Ray concept. These were the same negative issues that plagued Sun's (and Oracle's and IBM's) first generation Net devices. Sun is not adept in the commodity hardware game and they should either enlist the help of someone who is (Dell, Gateway, etc., which would pose major conflicts of interest in the middle range hardware markets) or stay out of the game all together.

I would expect debate from you on this topic and not threats, alas if you would prefer that I stopped posting...
