Oracle Will Use European Servers to Host Applications, WSJ Says
Redwood Shores, California, Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Oracle Corp. plans to announce today it will use its own servers in Europe to host applications for corporate clients, the Wall Street Journal reported. Companies will be able to access software from Oracle's data center in the U.K., which serves its operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The service will be available for most of Oracle's products, including its financial, manufacturing and payroll software, the paper said.
Oracle, the largest database software maker, last month unveiled products to let companies create Web sites that allow employees to see up-to-date corporate information online.
