I recall an interesting study that was told to me by a Chinese colleague of mine several years ago. She told me that they had done a study in China and found that people who worked in vinegar factories were significantly less likely to contract a cold than those who did not. They concluded that the inhalation of vinegar fumes must inhibit the spread of the cold virus. Just think, if we could figure out a way to make vinegar fumes more pleasant to inhale, we could come up with a competitor to Zicam and make a billion dollars!!

Even better, just throw some vinegar into an atomizer and viola! You just saved yourself ten bucks! Even if it doesn't really work, you'll be so overwhelmed by the vinegar fumes, you'll forget all about the fact that you even have a cold!
