While there are many busy people working on Rambus, I really doubt the solution is a heat sink. Testing in a range of
temperatures would have been completed months ago and if cooling was the solution there would have been no delays.


I sure have to agree with you. All the evidence makes the problem sound like one of signal integrity problems at the very high frequencies involved. And, it's to do with the motherboard trace layout, impedance matching (not, sounds like), stubs, etc., in which case the temperature of the RIMMs that happen to be hanging onto the traces would have practically no effect. Can't believe that Yahoo post could do this to the stock. How about the conference today? Any breaking news from there?
