I agree with your comments. Several years back I studied the possible predictive value of stock prices and volumes and could find no statistically significant relationship using a variety of time-series analysis methods. Do any of you know on any statistical (not anecdotal!) studies demonstrating any relationship at the 90% confidence level? If so, please let me know. In the mean time, I will continue to be a believer in the weak form efficient market hypothesis.
