Yes, I bike and cross-country ski. I am contemplating early retirement next year, which would give me more time for other activities such as fishing and kayaking.

Alaska is not so lovely today. A major forest fire is burning north of Los Anchorage, and hot dry winds have cast a pall of smoke over the city. Many homes and cabins were destroyed, and hundreds of people were evacuated. Efforts are underway to rescue teams of sled dogs that are kennelled in that area.
