>It is late and the synapses are sluggish. Your post is a lot to digest. I'll have to examine it in detail when I am fresher.<

I understand, and must confess a kind of weariness with this issue myself.

>You should be commended for your leadership in this area. It takes guts and a willingness to sacrifice.<

Were I perfectly honest, I could claim only to have encouraged perhaps one or two families (and even here my part was really quite simple). I honestly cannot tell you how the rest of the folk began. I do know that there are several other folk in my church who are true leaders in this area, and we all seem to follow them. I think that is how the thing has taken off. Now it seems the depth of leadership is such that it has taken on its own life. I hardly do anything but participate. But I find it really quite fulfilling to see folk using their minds and bodies to establish something themselves, instead of throwing money at every problem or desire.

>In the future when the NEA is no more and school choice is commonplace people will look back and be grateful there were people like you who paved the way.<

Thanks for the kind words. This is the hope. Unfortunately the NEA is like sin: easy to access, impossible to get rid of once you do. So I do not exactly anticipate the complete death of our current education structure, but I do expect it to either change significantly for the better, or be seen in the same light as our current public healthcare and welfare system. I think the latter is more likely.
