D.Telekom-Global One decision after Sprint/MCI
deal

FRANKFURT, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Deutsche Telekom AG said on Tuesday the future of
its Global One joint venture with Sprint Corp (NYSE:FON - news) and France Telecom
remained open.

A Telekom spokesman said that a decision on Global One would only be taken once MCI Worldcom's
(NasdaqNM:WCOM - news) acquisition of Sprint, announced earlier, was complete.

He said that then all parties concerned would discuss and redefine their Global One interests.

MCI announced earlier it would buy Sprint for $129 billion, including $14 billion in debt and preferred stock, making it the
most expensive corporate takeover ever.

Pat, DT statement, as well statements from FT and Sprint several weeks ago, indicate that ovnership/structure of G1
only will be change, but such change will have to wait for onother year or so, until MCI/Sprint are merged .
