Being somewhat new to posting messages on SI, I am not sure how to address this to you so I have addressed it to myself in the hopes that you scan through and see it.

As a quick follow up to my post to you Sunday afternoon on the Cypango thread, "sources" advise that SUF will be drilling one hole in each of eight mostly "bulls-eye" targets starting late this week on the Back Lake property. They will then repeat the procedure on fourteen mostly "bulls-eye" targets on their Diavik area property shared with Kennecott. Pipes discovered with the most attractive chemistry, diamond counts, etc. will then be returned to for mini-sampling and delineation as much as possible from the ice before break-up.

Lac de Gras breaks up about early to mid June (depending on the wetness of the spring). Any pipes in the lake(s) reasonably close to shore, (that have good data) can and will be drilled to one degree or another from shore throughout the summer.

It may be of interest that the Back Lake drilling area is about 20 km give or take to the east of Winspear's Snap Lake drill sites. The targets are "bulls-eyes" but there are kimberlite dykes however, no where near as plentiful (birdsnest) as seen at Snap Lake.

Some of the targets have chemistry and some don't, all have excellent mags but few with EM. Russians up here last year spoke about a number of their pipes having no chemistry at all (this is for you Ed) but when drilled, cores came back with numbers in the 10 carats per tonne range. In short, there are no hard and fast rules on chemistry, mags or EM.

You pays your money and you takes your chances.

Regards
