Level Two has about 2,610 pages in its entire curriculum. Given the 20 week study period, that averages to about 19 pages per day for the 5 months of study time.

If one begins in January, you should be done by the end of May, or the first week of June, right in time for the exam. However, it's recommended (at least by me) to have at least one month of lead time for test preparation and "ironing out" the wrinkles in comprehension. That suggests a starting point of December. Those who start in November, or even now in October, will definitely have the advantage.

The pass rate for CFA Level Two in 1999 was 54% according to AIMR. Reviewing the historical passage rates, that matches the all-time low set in 1991. The historical passage rate is 62%, so that's almost 1 standard deviation below the mean from 1980.

Better start studying...
