MDI Entertainment, Inc. Names William G.
Malloy to Board of Directors
HARTFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 1999--MDI Entertainment, Inc. (OTC BB: MDIH)
announced today that it has named William G. Malloy, President, CEO and Chairman of Scientific Games
Holdings Corp. (NYSE: SG - news), to its Board of Directors.
In making the announcement, Steven M. Saferin, President and CEO of MDI said, ``We are delighted to
welcome William Malloy to our Board of Directors. We look forward to the integral role he will play at
MDI Entertainment. His background and experience in the gaming industry and at Scientific Games
International will be a great addition to our management team and Board of Directors as we continue our

MDI Entertainment recently announced that it had entered into a strategic marketing alliance with
Scientific Games International, a subsidiary of Scientific Games Holdings Corp. (NYSE: SG - news).
Under the terms of the Alliance, Scientific Games will market MDI's licensed properties to its lottery
clients worldwide. Among those properties are Dick Clark's American Bandstand©, James Bond
007(TM), Harley-Davidson©, Twilight Zone(TM), Betty Boop(TM), TNN and CMT.
