Thanks for that, Geof. When I read of the John Scott Russell soliton observance as a head-wave in a canal the night before last, I could feel the calm excitement of discovery he must have felt as he and his horse trotted along with the thing. I could also hear a Waterskier admonishing "don't stop so quick or you'll send a head-wave into the course I'll have to ski through!," which was a revelation to me, hadn't noticed before and thought they only dispersed sideways from the boat.

One wonders if NVXE's Jack Robinson had a similar experience with some form of soliton wave on copper wires. Here's today's press release from them concerning financing and the broadband over copper claim, again. It sure would seem to be a fine Last Mile Technology. I can only hope this is real, at this point.
