Hi Sandy, the Close wasn't bad at all, considering. Dunno why they're xsellingx (plenty R buying too), but can tell U why i quacked some (sounds nicer than saying xsellx) today. Wanted to get powder out while it's still up & looking forward to buying 'em back cheaper is why. If i guessed wrong, then that's still ok...kept plenty good technet shares & taking more profit too soon would be my only regret then, oink oink, couldn't grow the shares by as much. At worst - Guessed wrong, kick myself, and move on ahead, so what else is new? Just sharing what i'm doing with my Techride StockPals; i'm sure no "grew".
Not bragging either, but (like most folks on SI) Internets have grown the original capital in this sector so nice for me that it'd take a fall that couldn't/wouldn't/shouldn't happen in a day to make me consider selling 'em all @ wholesale.
So my @$$ was hanging over the line w/ not enough cash for comfort, set 10/5 as decision day deadline one way or the other. IMHO, it leaves the door open for more blahs like we've been enduring coming down the pike (sigh)- like "xinterestxxratexxfearsx" being hyped (sigh) while good news for Co.'s & The Economy gets Newspeaked (sigh) into a promo explaining lower share prices (sigh).
So the Fed played it safe today, so me too.
baaaaaaa baaaaaa baaaaaaa!
{:D}=
Quacking's like daytrading on longer holds while playing it safe but not too safe - growing the shares - "Gotta see a man about a duck". Balanced now so if It surprises & rockets i'm still ready to profit on what i still got and buy these old faithfuls back fast! Made avg. 20+% off these trades in less than a couple months so not too bad. Not exactly That Old 909 to ring the bell for (We'uns R Spoiled!) & surely not the by-all-rights-rally i'd been holding on to the bar for; but good enough & Nicely Nicely. Hold Onto The Bar, Our Day Will Come, yep it will.
Was watching 'em like a hawk today, so when intradays started to go retro a little After Post Time (2:15) couldn't help but think the news might not be good. Saw no announcement online so i got off & called my broker. When she confirmed stocks were falling & Fed had tightened bias...KA-BOOM i'd already drawn my beads so i read 'em off & said "Push The Button". After posting here, quacked xpvtlx, some xmsftx, & xsrtx (xsrtx which was a 3-bagger, RING THE BELL FOR THE 909 TRINED!) also. So if "Happy Enough Is As Good As It Usually Gets" this time; it's fine.
Can't help but ;D because i made some nice money today.
Anyway, hope that answers your question, Sandy.
Sometimes Opportunity Knocks Whichever Way It Goes.

Joanie
