hi mr. mark,

The thread is busy all the time isn't it. I did something to my computer and now I don't know if I can undo it all. Someone told me the computer would work faster set to network server instead of set as desktop so I went in and changed it. I have win 98. I went to control panel, then system, then performance under system properties, then clicked file system tab. That gave me an option to change to network server from desktop. I did that. It wasn't long that I thought things were not acting right and programs were having trouble running and there was at times a hesitation in the system so I switched back. Now I get an error message when I boot up that says "incorrect version of mapi32.dll". That is because the file is made for windows NT. I checked it's properties. Now I never changed that file so it must have changed when I changed to network server. I am still having program hesitations and I know something is not right. Ever heard of this problem before? Could I get the mapi32.dll version for win 98 somewhere? Thanks for the help on this!
