I don't normally follow the Conspiracy Crowd but I must agree with this poster on Yahoo (I witnessed it myself) messages.yahoo.com As far as manipulation of this stock, I must disagree with you... PWJC (Paine Webber) sat on the offer @ 5-1/4 showing only 100 shares since last friday, while they sold 100's of thousands maybe even a million shares!, still showing just 100 shares available! I dont know if they were selling short or actually had that big a seller but this is clearly abusing the 100 share minimum. The trading on Level II last week also showed a pattern of several market makers conspiring to keep the price down (my opinion, from past experience). I have filed complaints with the SEC and the NASDAQ CRD particularly with PWJC's action, at least maybe they'll look through recent T&S for questionable practices.
