~~You stayin' up late for the Midnight Madness game in Arizona? I may give that one a miss. ~~ I think I will watch at least some of it...a 10 PM start here in the central zone and the Mets were my alltime favorite club when I was young and living in NY. I started following just about the time of the Miracle '69 Mets, with Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman, Cleon Jones, agee, swaboda, gaspar, Buddy Harrelson, DOn Clendenon, Kranepool, Boswell, hell the whole crazy crew. I think that was Nolan Ryan's only world series appearance. I was riveted to the Mets-Reds Game last night. AL Leiter came up so big it was way too cool. and the Champagne celebration had me misty eyed. My New York city SPorts teams and other cultural idiosyncracies are what could get me to move back to the NY area. Plus the beautiful Autumns up there.
