Hi Fred , If you leave the door (stop loss order on a BB listed stock) to the candy store (your shares) wide open you invite candy binging and outright theft (purchase of your shares by an MM).

Market makers on BB listed issues don't have to have a block size stop loss order to whet their appetite , dip down and scoop it up. In reality , you or anyone who places a stop loss order significantly below the current trading price is asking any of the market makers if they would like one hell of a deal and that you have discounted the price of your shares for sale to them. OF COURSE THEY'LL BUY THEM - and quickly too - as long as that issue is not dropping in price rapidly.
This is business as usual - an everyday thing for them that can't be classified as a conspiracy under any circumstances. I believe the sage NightHawkz that frequents this thread from time to time recently fell pray to this error in judgement.

You know the old saying: "You fool me once, shame on you. You fool me twice, shame on me". So don't let them "fool" you again by selling at a huge discount.

John
