(CBS.MW) -- Mattel shares plunged Monday after the toy maker disclosed that third-quarter profits will fall short of Wall Street expectations by as much as 55 percent. The maker of Barbie dolls and Fisher Price toys (MAT: news, msgs) said problems at its Learning Company unit will depress earnings to a range of 30 to 40 cents a share instead of 67 cents as seen in First Call's consensus estimate.
