0.16 is based on an earnings analysis that I and Count Richleu sort of agreed on 6 months ago assuming carrying the max capacity of 38,000 cars per year. 0.34 is based on the current gross projected by the company over the next 5 years. To that you can add any price enhancement due to profit from the trucking company. They are claiming $500,000 gross per month. but, NYRR only owns 51% and the deal isn't "closed" whatever that means. That could be worth another 0.15/share price except I don't know if 3 million NYRR share of gross for the trucking company will really play out to 0.015 earnings/share and 0.15 in stock price. Remember there are 150mm shares, or more depending on what piece of paper you have in your hand.

I predicted 3 months ago the stock would slide for 4 1/2 months from the spike based on past history. Then it would dwell for some period of time, maybe until late Spring. I have several times said to buy this stock in a dwell and hold it for a double, period. In the mean time play with something else. Perhaps .50 to .60 is the new dwell point and something over 1.00 is a satisfactory move.

And, I was ready to buy on some kind of a dip until Hi-Tel sold. Why are they selling when the rest of us are expecting a rise? They sold @ ~1.06 in June and now @~.50 in October. They are a venture capital company. They are not being very venturous to get out at this level and chart pattern unless they know something we don't or have just given up.

As for being a reporting company, many reporting companies go nowhere. Everyone must soon report or go pink. NYRR doesn't need to report to do business or make money. I am a little concerned the "report" will reveal ownerships, alliances and minority interests previously unknown. The company revealed the financial picture some time ago so that will not be a surprise.

As I have also said many times: It is a great little railroad and fun to visit. But, don't expect the stock price to grow as fast as the railroad.
