Virtually all pharmaceutical companies report their sales to DDD. DDD stands for Drug Distribution Data. Sales to pharmacies and physicians are submitted either on a weekly basis or with smaller companies and drug wholesalers, on a monthly basis. Management usually received the data (market shares and dollar sales in a therapeutic class) three weeks after the close of the prior month. March is a five-week reporting month and closed on April 4th. Thus I wouldn't expect any report until the week of April 20th for March sales.

DDD is far and above the major sales reporting service, but there may be others which report earlier based on smaller samples. For example, a drug company (or an individual) could buy the information direcly from a wholesaler, say in the San Francisco area. This information would be up-to-the-minute.

And finally, AGPH knows what they have sold to wholesalers and could announce these sales, but this is not as accourate because what goes out of the wholesaler is what makes a product successful. On the other hand, if wholesalers are making repeat orders, this info could be useful.
