Several posts (#986 and #990 by someone over on the EXBT Yahoo thread where they claim you can't find a DLT 8000 drive to buy (could it be that they go to OEMs instead of distribution?). Also rags on DLT quality. Also,EXBT website has a very negative article called "DLT must die", which was published in some magazine by a disgruntled user complaining about cartidge price and extreme cartidge sensitivity. (By contrast, Ecrix has demonstrated dropping cartridges in boiling water (or was it tea?) and then still being able to read data.
